These answers will be used in the "Treasure Hunt" that the patrols will be competing in. They will be coming up to adult leaders who fill out these forms and asking you questions. They can not ask questions like "Which of these Treasure Hunt Questions is about you?" but rather each scout in the patrol is allowed to ask you one specific question besides your name. The questions they will be asking you are "Was you the 1952 Ini-to Lodge Chief" or "How many years have you been scoutmaster", etc. The first patrol outside of your troop to ask you the correct question should receive a totem from you. The totems and the questionnaire themselves will be used to compute a final score. Questions and answers should be given out of ear shot of other patrols. Keep giving the correct answers out all day (9am to 4pm) but the first patrol outside of your troop can earn your totem. Spalding District 1993 fall friendship Camporee "Patrol Treasure Hunt" This competition starts at 9:00am and lasts till 3:30. Please turn in completed forms to the Camporee headquarters tent for scoring by 3:30pm. Adult leaders who filled out questionnaires will be wearing name tags so you can identify them. You may also ask your own scoutleaders some general trivia questions that are included. You can not ask questions like "Which one of these questions is about you?" Rather, each patrol member can ask one question in an attempt to link the right individual leader with the correct trivia question. Troop Number Patrol Name____________________ 1. This Assistant Scoutmaster has served as the Griffin Boxing Team Coach, likes square dancing, and even though he works as the City of Griffin's Traffic Control Coordinator says he got lost at a Boy Scout Campout at Dundee Lake. 2. This Assistant Scoutmaster likes to go Fishing and has worked at the City of Griffin for 8 years, 3. This Scoutmaster went to the National Jamboree as a boy in 1970 and returned in 1992 as the Scoutmaster for the Flint River Council Troop. 4. This person advanced much farther in scouting as an adult than he did as a scout when he only went as far as Tenderfoot. He went to Appalachian State and is a Cherokee Indian. 5. This person has served in his troop for almost as long as the Scoutmaster. His troop fund raising duties have included recycling paper for 20 years, growing sweet corn for 15 years, and having the troop bus towed back to Griffin from Moultrie Georgia. 6. This Bicyclist Scoutmaster helped start this relatively new troop which was formed in 1990. He likes Basketball. 7. This Assistant Scoutmaster has a son who has worked at the Camp Thunder Nature Lodge on staff for many years, likes Woodworking, and plans to be unemployed on November 8th. 8. This Scoutmaster hiked 240 miles of the John D. Mier Trail in California where he first became a scoutmaster 26 years ago. Folks around Griffin call him Coach JB. 9. This Assistant Scoutmaster remembers knocking out church Sunday school windows while teaching rapelling on the side of his meeting place and can only recall five times in 28 years that scouts from his troop have ended up in the Emergency Room. 10. This Assistant Scoutmaster has served as summer camp Program Director at half the Scout Camps in Georgia, likes Philately, and spent two weeks in Missouri last months with the Red Cross as a volunteer working on flood relief. 11. This Assistant Scoutmaster just joined his current troop at this camporee but earned his Eagle Scout Award in the North Florida Council where he earned 52 Merit Badges. 12. This Scoutmaster won the last Chili Cookoff contest we had at a Spalding District Camporee. 13. This person is not at our camporee but everyone should know that he has served the past 15 years as Ranger at Camp Thunder. 14. This Committee Member is a self employed electrician who likes Fishing & Softball. 15. This Antiques Importer likes Sailing, scuba diving, and has lived in Thailand for over two years. Claims his troop as done the Jumbo Elephant skit more times than any other troop in Griffin. 16.
